This frame has two different size swingarms with two different shocks and two different size wheels for different rates on front and back.

This frame has a 100mm swingarm in front annodized red with a dual microcellular urethane rising rate shock absorber in front and an 80mm swingarm in the rear with a full compression red elastomer in back for extra powerslide and kick possibility. Swingarms and Wheels are customizable for riding style and ability. Perhaps I will upgrade mine to the air oil dual independent shock unit and compress it to 250 PSI in front and 300 PSI in rear with 10-15 weight oil and dual 100mm wheels.

Touring, Recreation, and Fitness Skates

The Footgear Suspension Device has allowed for a renewal in recreation activities that has decreased boredom and increased training effectiveness. Full Suspension skating and skiing has improved my training technique and times by an enormous amount. The suspension is charged with air/elastomer/and oil and actually increases efficiency while I skate. It also increases speeds and decreases my fatigue levels.

When I was a professional skier I used to train solely on the mountainbike and now I use the all terrain skate by AllWorldSkates to enhance my training and train the very same muscles I use for skiing.

On the topic of turning:

Our MountainSkate is a little more difficult in the turning arena then our street touring skate - the AllWorldSkate. However, turning is simple and effective. When I go into a turn I slightly angle my foot depending on my speed and then gently lift the toe ever so slightly and the skate turns at exactly the radius I want to carve. On the flip side I can also push down with my heel for a powerful turn. Turning is simple and can be as sharp as I want. Skating on one foot is a little more tricky as it can be hard moving my foot toe up and heel down when I have all my weight on a single foot but turning is still ok there too.

Braking (Slowing Down):

Simple - snow plow and wedge, turns in sequence or get a brake add on in the wheel. Most importantly control your speed at all times. A Brake can be found in one design But AllTerraSkate also sells its own brakes. We are using a heel brake that travels with the swingarms for beginners.

Skating is a dangerous sport. Use at your own risk. We make every effort to see there are no manufacturers defects in our skates. When you skate you are at risk!

Awesome Power:

Awesome power is achieved when the skate is compressed and then released at the end of the skate stride. It is important to know that the skate is supercharged from the manufacturer. This means the skate actually contains potential energy wating to be converted into Kinetic energy. When the skate is compressed it wants to release adding power to the stride. The power added is measurable and directly relates to the type of shock used and the spring coefficient. Air springs are infinitely adjustable and Microcellular uerethane is also used to charge the device with energy. The point is the skate is charged from the manufacturer with extra energy that the skater can harnass with technique and skill.
